Quintessence: Bringing High-End Interior Design to Vernon’s New Business Scene

Originality, elegance AND minimalism : these are the keywords on Quintessence. Last October, a new job opened its doors in Carnot streetin Vernon (Euros). This offers facilities of interior design luxurious and managed by him Noelle BellilAnd an architect specialized in this area.

When I started this project, I wanted to support the client down to the smallest detail. There were no stores in Vernon that offered high end products, especially for furniture, cookware, etc. So I gave it a try! And why Quintessence? Because that is the very essence of everything that is beautiful, chic…

Favorite French production

The interior of the store is designed so that every visitor feels at home. “When we arrive, the idea is to be in a warm atmosphere. We sit and drink coffee, tea, aperitif”, he assures us. Among the many items offered for sale: storage units, tables, couch, dishes (in porcelain, slate, stoneware)… Everyone will find something to beautify their little cocoon.

I offer for sale mainly French products. For example, for furniture, I invited a factory based in the Anjou region. Their facilities come from ecologically managed forests. I wanted to go with something noble, so we decided on oak.

With this type of furniture, customers can choose the colors of the facade, combine them or separate them.

“Know-how through time”

Other European countries are still represented, such as the String company in Denmark or Villeroy & Boch, a French-German company known all over the world. “I avoid being Chinese. For dishes, I askedelegance and professionalism on time. Villeroy & Boch, which has been around for 275 years, has reinvented itself over time. Such as the production of tableware gilded with 20 carat gold, which is easy to wash in the dishwasher and guaranteed to shine,” insists Noëlle Bellil.

Other added value entered into the store: a sense of sharing. Indeed, since the opening, architect Vernon has placed objects or works of artists and companies from the sector in its premises. Currently, the artist in the spotlight is none other than Patricia Rynski from Argence, a guide-lecturer passionate about painting. “Her husband also leaves me carpets as a deposit, and I don’t forget the Adel electrical company and its lighting fixtures either. The idea is to work together and help each other, not to bother each other. It’s a give and take,” says Noëlle Bellil.

“We are talking about it all the way to Germany”

This passion for interior design is not new. After studying in Paris, she opened it architect’s office in Vernon before starting a new challenge in the south, near Biarritz. “I wanted to develop a company there, but it didn’t go as I wanted. So I settled permanently in Vernon. My only regret compared to Biarritz? Time (laughs),” she says.

Her career path is quite atypical, since before that she worked as a saleswoman in luxury real estate. “For a while I sold cabins in Val-d’Isère. I helped clients who could not easily design on their own, but I realized very quickly that my possibilities are limited in this profession,” explains the architect. Passionate about art and history, she set her sights on this universe and returned to study for five years at Arts Déco in Paris.

I am still passionate about my work. In addition, the feedback I received about the store confirmed my choice. I even received a phone call from Villeroy Frankfurt, who were delighted to have such a nice business among their customers. It’s even being talked about in Germany… It’s nothing!
