SSC CHSL Skill Test Call Letter 2017

The Typing Test could also be referred to ‘Skill Test’. The skill test is a type of test wherein the skills of the candidates are assessed by asking them to take some particular tests. That’s the ‘Typing Test’ comes under this category because the way candidates type on computer is also counted as a Skill and they are so fast at it: they are very good.

As per recent news, Paper-II (Descriptive Test) was given by SSC and in that total 6446 candidates, for the post of DEO, have been provisionally shortlisted for taking the next round i.e. Skill Test/Typing Test. The Skill Test is supposed to be conducted for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO), whereas, Typing Test is meant for 43856 aspirants for LDC: Lower Division Clerk.

Important Points on SSC Typing Test Exam 2018

Skill Test: Meant for DEO

  • Conducted on Computer.
  • Qualifying in Nature. Must be completed at the required Speed.
  • No one is relaxed by not appearing in Skill Test and it was made compulsory each candidate, irrespective of their categories.
  • To confirm the eligibility for the appointment, the speed of aspirants should be 8,000 Key Impressions in an Hour.
  • Skill Test is of 15 Minutes duration. They shall be given the printed matter of around 2000 to 2200 which they have to type on computer before the deadline.

Typing Test: Meant for LDC

  • Also, taken on Computer.
  • Would be of qualifying nature.
  • Conducted in Hindi or English.
  • English Typing should be 35 WPM within 10 Minutes (30 Minutes for VH) and Hindi Typing should be 30 WPM within 10 Minutes (30 Minutes for VH).
  • 35 Words WPM or 30 Words WPM given above corresponds to 10500 Key Impressions per Hour/ 9000 Key Impressions per Hour on an average of 5 Key Impressions for each word.
